+Is the facial recognition really built in, or is it a third-party tool?
Built in. Face descriptors are computed and matched on-device using browser-native models — they never leave the gym's network. No biometric data is shipped to a vendor, and you don't pay a per-reader subscription. Falls back to a PIN kiosk automatically if the camera ever misses or a member opts out.
+What hardware do I need?
Any modern tablet, laptop, or PC with a webcam. We've validated everything from $300 Android tablets to old MacBooks to a Raspberry Pi with a USB camera. The kiosk is a PWA, so install it once and it runs offline-tolerant.
+Can I bring my existing roster?
Yes. CSV import for members, plans, classes, and leads, plus an AI schedule import that reads a screenshot of your current weekly schedule. We dry-run every import so you can see what would change before anything writes to the database.
+What about payments?
Stripe and Authorize.net both supported. Connect your account once, and SimplCRM handles billing, refunds, dunning, payment reminders, and reconciliation. Cash and card payments through the POS use the same ledger.
